Silica made of rice husk ash:

High purity silica generally means that the total metal impurity contained in the silica has a mass fraction of less than 10 mg/kg and the mass fraction of a single non-metallic impurity is less than 10 mg/kg. It is mainly used in integrated circuit encapsulants and in the manufacture of high purity quartz glass. When used in the field of electronics, it is also required that the mass fractions of radioactive elements U and Th in high-purity silica are each less than 1.0 μg/kg, or even lower, and some require less than 0.1 μg/kg.

High purity silica is broadly divided into two categories: natural and synthetic. Natural silica is obtained by refining quartz, silica, etc., but the mass fraction of U and Th can only be reduced to about 1 mg/kg, which is difficult to meet the requirements of electronic materials. Synthetic silica is prepared from silicon halides, silanol or sodium silicate, and it can meet the requirements of the electronics field.

There are two ways to synthesize high purity silica:
(1). using a silicon halide or silanol as a raw material, prepared by a dry method;
(2). Prepared by a wet method (precipitation method) using silicate as a raw material.
