Founded in 1993, Jinpan Electric designs, manufactures, and markets equipment for the distribution of electricity, including cast resin transformers, VPI transformers and reactors, switchgears, and unit substations. Jinpan′s cast resin transformers allow high voltage transmissions of electricity to be distributed to various locations in lower, more usable voltage. Now Jinpan Electric is one of market leader in China in the field of cast resin transformer and VPI reactor technology. As one of the largest and most advanced cast resin transformer and VPI reactor manufacturers, Jinpan Electric design and manufacture transformers for a wide range of demanding infrastructure and industrial applications.
Presently, Jinpan Electric operates four full-scale manufacturing facilities in China with almost 3000 employees in the cities of Haikou, Wuhan, Shanghai, and Guilin respectively. There is also one facility in Carlstadt New Jersey for limited scale manufacturing, product testing, and after sales services.
Jinpan Electric has also been qualified as the strategy partner of GE, Siemens and Schneider for more than 15 years. Jinpan Electric provides OEM transformer and reactor for their wind and solar power system.
