FDA Ce Registered Schirmer Tear Test Strips

Application: Used for diagnosing reduction of the tear secretion caused by any related ophthalmic diseases.

Instruction:
1. Open the pouch and take out the strips

2. Make a crease by forceps at the tip of trip. Put the creased end inside of patient's lower eyelid with the other end out of the lid. Patient has to keep his or her eyes closed gently for 5 minutes, which give a proper time for the strip moistened by the tear flows.

3. Then take off the strips and read the length of the moistened area. It is normal if the length of the moistened area is between 10mm to 25mm. For an elderly patient who has relatively less tear secretion, if the length of the moistened area is less than 10mm, his or her tear secretion may be normal as well.

Package: 2 strips/pouch (R for right eye, L for left eye), 50 pouches/box.

Attentions:
1. Open the pouch before test. Do not use if the package is broken.
2. Test should be appropriately taken under temperature of 20~25 degrees centigrade and humidity of 60%~74%.
3. Patient should close eyes gently and avoid touching cornea. Closing the eyes tightly or rubbing the eyes during the test can cause abnormal test results.

Contraindication: Patients with ocular surface damage, inflammation or ulcers of cornea and conjunctiva.
Storage: Avoid light and humidity. Place in a cool and dry place.
Expiration:2 years.
