Jiangyin XingCheng Special Steel Works Co., Ltd belongs to CITIC Special Steel Group, and was invested and established by Hong Kong CITIC Pacific Ltd., in 1993. It is the important high-tech enterprise of National Torch Plan and the president enterprise of China Special Steel Association, and the first enterprise of China who obtained the "Good Standardizing Practice Certificate AAAA Grade", and Top 10 Energy-saving & Emission-reducing model enterprise of Jiangsu Province.

The company has three factory districts, one of them locates in the Economic District of Jiangyin City, which occupies the area of 5000 mu. It is on the south of Yangtze River with two self-constructed special wharfs with a berthing capacity of 100 thousand tons. It possesses a unique communication and logistics advantage including highway, inland river, Yangtse River and Ocean transportation.

with main equipment of steel-making, rolling and inspection all imported from abroad and world advanced production process, the company has become the domestic production base for producing high quality special bars and plate, mainly including high spec bearing steel, high-grade gear steel, alloy spring steel, alloy tube steel, oil field steel, high-grade mooring chain steel, tyre cord steel, and free-cutting non-quenched and tempered steel, and ship steel, pipeline steel and structure steel as well. All products obtained the international or national quality certificates, and Xingcheng brand was honoured as China Well-known Trademark. In the company, 12 products were honored as national new products, 19 products won certificate of golden cup prize for actual quality of metallurgical products, 72 items of technology won national patent. Special steel institute of the company possesses state-accredited technology center, laboratory accredited by the National Accreditation Board, post-doctoral scientific research station. The institute takes charge of and participates in drafting and revising many national and industrial technical standards, and frequently undertakes the national metallurgic topic projects.

with total employees of more than 6500, the company has the annual output capacity of 5 million tons of hot iron, 6 million tons of special steel and 6 million tons of rolled steel products. In 2009, its total capital was 23.6 billion yuan, and its gross sales reached 25.4 billion yuan.
